Daniel Hatton – Head Chef, Thackeray’s

After starting my catering career 12 years ago at Thackeray’s as a commis chef it was my first insight into the industry, I worked my way through the ranks before moving on to London.

A 3 Year stint in London working under chefs such as Marco Pierre White and Gordon Ramsay gave me experience that I needed to improve my knowledge, which would lead me on to a good career in the catering industry.

At the age of 25 I returned to Richard Phillips Company, as head chef of the Hengist in Aylesford.

After 2 years as head chef, I was then offered the head chef position at Thackeray’s, in Royal Tunbridge Wells, A great Opportunity for me to go back to where I started my career and continue the adventure!

After 18 months of being back at Thackerays we were awarded a Michelin star which i still hold along with 3 AA Rosettes.

The adventure is still as exciting as the day I started!!!
