Alistair was initially trained at Barnfield College in Lutton, Bedfordshire. After this he worked in several catering establishments training as a pastry chef. During the 90’s Alistair moved down to London where he took a position at The Park Lane Hotel.

Following this he moved on to the world famous Harrods department store in Knightsbridge gaining further experience as a Pastry Chef. During Alistair’s time at Harrods a position came up at a brand new restaurant called Launceston Place, run by the celebrity chef Rowley Leigh. Following several years working in and around London, Alistair decided to take another huge challenge by moving to Guernsey where he gained a Salon Culinaire third place for pastry, resulting in him being head-hunted and consequently working in several private hotels for a period of five years.

In 1995 Alistair moved back to England where he found work in the New Forest and Bournemouth area. In 2011 Alistair joined the New Westcliff Hotel, under new ownership of Mr Paul Hedges. Alistair then moved onto the Menzies Bournemouth Carlton Hotel where he worked under Chef Richard Allsop.
